1Thessalonians2 PT14 -Eternal Word of God

This is the beginning of a study of Paul’s first epistle, the epistle to the Church at Thessalonica. This is the first epistle that Paul ever wrote. Thessalonica was a Roman Colony city, right in the heart of the Roman empire, with a rich, long and varied history. Here Paul had brought the Gospel and now is writing to them concerning their lives as believers who are already suffering for their faith in Jesus Christ. In this study we look Paul’s thanks to God for the way the Thessalonians received the word of God, for what it truly is, the very word of God. They knew that it was not man’s word but God’s word to them that works the work of God in the lives of those who believe it.
