Kept By God's Power

Peter, in writing to believers suffering under “manifold temptations”, encourages them in their afflictions by reminding them of what God has done for them, is doing for them and will do for them.

In this verse it is the truth that God is keeping and preserving his people throughout their lives in this world, and into the world to come.

What an encouragement to the weary, battle-worn Christian, that the Almighty God is our keeper, and nothing can remove our eternal security in him!
