Render to God

The conflict between Jesus and the religious leaders has been taking place since the beginning of his ministry, but now it's coming to a head. Another trick question will be thrown at Jesus. His answer to "render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's and to God the things that are God's" has a myriad of political and spiritual implications/applications. His statement tells us that Caesar has a tendency toward overreach and tyranny, and unfortunately the people often oblige, because instead of looking to God to take care of them they look to the government. Since God's image is stamped on every single person, we must render ourselves to him.
