Focused on Christ's Coming

We know very little about real persecution in America today. We may, perhaps, convince ourselves that we have it rough at times. However, by the standard of human history, we simply do not. That makes it difficult for us to relate to a passage such as this—a passage instructing those under heavy religious persecution to be patient as they wait for Jesus to return.
