The Law and the Gospel

To distinguish the Law and the Gospel is vital in the Christian life. We see here that the Gospel is promise, which the Law is not; that the Gospel has the primacy over the Law, and that both have different purposes; the Law to condemn sin, the Gospel to save sinners.
