Gracious Counsel

In our sixth review of C. H. Spurgeon's sermon, 'An Earnest Warning Against Lukewarmness, ' attention is focused upon the second of four remedies offered to the Laodicean church. This is the remedy of 'gracious counsel.' The exalted Christ, through the apostle John, says, 'I counsel you...' The nature of counsel is considered as well as the content of the counsel given by Christ to the church.
