The Destruction of Babylon, Restoration of His People

in this chapter we start with comfort from the Lord our creator, that He has redeemed us, and we're not to fear. He touches on the destruction of the Babylonians and probably the future Babylon system during our time. Along with al it's idols, His people had lost touch with Him and who He was "the only God." Due to previous generations, their fathers and leaders had brought a curse on them for that departure. But there was still a promise of restoration for some (remnant).
