Tracing Consolidation

The warnings of the Anti-Federalists at the state ratifying conventions were accurate representations of the 70 year struggle between limited government by Constitutional grant & the forces of consolidation. When battle finally turned to armed conflict, at issue was the right of a free people to consent to the government set over them.
