Misconceptions About Calvinism (Pt 3)

This message deals with the doctrines of Limited Atonement and Irresistible Grace. It's a misconception to say that Calvinists deny the Biblical passages that speak of Christ dying for the world. Frequently the word "world" is used in a general sense or to mean nations beyond Israel. Christ died to pay for a specific group of people. Another misconception is that Calvinists do not believe anyone can resist God. In fact, because of total depravity, all sinners do is resist and reject God, unless God grants new life.
