Intellect And The Bible. God expects it of us. You were expecting something Simple?
Series The Book of Joel
Our illustrious, or infamous (whichever you prefer) pastor tells us that last week he gave us a semblance of closure to some of the questions raised so far. And right about now, you who listen regularly, are scratching your heads thinking, “Really?” You’ve got to admit though, this guy answers questions better than most. (the quality of the answers, not the percentage.) Is the Word of God hard? Ah, Dah. We are to be like Nicodemus in John 3:1-21. He is The teacher of all Israel, and he doesn’t know. But later he seems to know quite a bit. There’s an old saying. “People won't care how much you know until they know how much you care.” But after that, they might just like it if you actually know something.
But wait! What’s this? We’re saved! ...by a question from the “vast” Internet audience. Sheri (Hi Shari!) wants to know, Is light subject to forces that can change its speed, or is it constant like Einstein thinks it is? If the speed can change, what are the Parameters? And now... we are entertained. It’s non-relativistic physics... and we like it. This is actually a continuation of a lecture our pastor did years ago that became the favorite on SermonAudio, “God Stretches Out The Heavens”. Let’s listen in, shall we. Maybe we’ll learn something about quantum mechanics and astrophysics while being entertained.
And now it’s time to be even more entertained. Yes! We have another letter! This one is from Gabriel. Prepare to be amazed at this man’s intellect and grace. We love it. We are astounded by you. And I mean all of you. Keep sending us letters.
Thank you for listening. If you’d like to support this ministry, you’re weird. Like us.
