Intimacy and Participation

The principle of truth that I want to bring out to you before we partake of the Lord’s Supper is this: Spiritual intimacy with Christ, when blessed by Christ with His power working in your heart, will lead you to a greater participation in spiritually helping others in the body of Christ. 1st of all – The breasts of the Church were given her not only for expressing love to Christ, but for feeding the spiritual children of Christ. (verse 3) 2nd – The Church’s neck and eyes are meant to be used for spiritual defense in our looking out for one another. (verse 4a) And then 3rd – The Church’s nose is meant to smell her own victory over all her enemies, in the victory of Christ. (verse 4b) The object of these spiritual lessons will be that you will participate in a greater sense in the life of this church because of the spiritual intimacy that you have had with Christ.
