I. These words are the words of Jesus Himself.
A. Hebrews 2:12 --
II. We see here a suffering Savior.
A. The alternating thoughts: “But I…yet You”
B. The One suffering is fully human.
C. In all this, Christ does not sin once.
D. This is a detailed prophecy of crucifixion.
III. Why this agony/anguish?
A. Substitutionary atonement
IV. Notice the faith of Jesus in this.
A. He does not stop trusting.
