Lesson 5 - Resurrection Part 1
Series Understanding Heaven
According to the Apostle Paul if believers reject the resurrection, then Jesus was not raised, and our religion is in vain (see1Corinthians 15.13-14). Indeed, without Jesus' resurrection (which is a model of what true believers will experience) and what it means -- an eternal future for fully restored human beings dwelling on a fully restored Earth -- there is no Christianity! Bodily resurrection is necessary because one day we will occupy a combined New Heaven and New Earth and we will walk bodily with God. Any view of the afterlife without physical resurrection is explicitly extra-Biblical.
If you ever had questions about the resurrection listen to this lesson and part 2 next week.
