Building a Palace for the King

Our Belgic Confession this evening teaches us about an important distinction that
Christian believers must ever keep in mind; namely, the difference between our
justification and our sanctification. These two theological principles are easily mixed
and mingled; but while we must always keep them distinct from one another, they must
never be separated from one another.

1. Sanctification is the God-required consequence of our justification.

2. Sanctification must be kept distinct from our justification.

3. Sanctification must also walk hand-in-hand with our justification.
