Paul wrote the letter to the Romans from Corinth during the third missionary journey. In this sermon, Romans' theme of "the Gospel as the power and righteousness of God to justify hopelessly unrighteous sinners" is traced through the background of Romans 1-6 before Romans 6:1-5 is used to show the Spiritual Baptism as it is symbolized by water baptism that is to take place after salvation. After the sermon the testimony and baptism of a newly justified sinner was given. Glory to God!
