Jesus Teaches During Dinner

Jesus was invited to dine in the home of a respected religious leader in Jerusalem. Their intent was to discredit Jesus by trapping Him into breaking the man made laws that had become central to the Jewish religion. Jesus neatly turns the table, so to speak, and shows what true love for God and neighbor is all about. A humble heart and a love for others over our interests are the marks of a child of God. Had the host known what he and his guests were in for; a dinner lesson from God, he likely would have thought twice about inviting Jesus.
