Whose Child is This...?

Exegesis: Jesus Christ is God's child. The Holy Spirit fathered Him (v. 18), the heavenly Father claimed Him (vv. 19-20), and the holy Trinity commissioned Him (v. 21). Jesus Christ is ''our'' child, on the basis of God's word (v. 22) and covenant (v. 23). Jesus Christ is Mary's child. He is completely human, like us (vv. 24-25a); and is truly the Savior, for us (v. 25b).
