My Time is Not Yet Come

-Jesus stays in Galilee region because the Jews of Judea want to kill Him.

-This is, obviously after Jesus went up to Jerusalem for the Passover with His disciples (Jn 6:4). Not recorded in the 4 gospels are accounts of Jesus' works or teachings in Jerusalem during that Passover, 1 year prior to His crucifixion

-After Jesus returns to Galilee (31 A.D.?), many of His activities are recorded in Matthew, Mark & Luke. I believe that it is a helpful thing (not necessary) to know that these events took place during this interval, "After these things…"

-Scribes & Pharisees from Jerusalem confront Jesus w/the tradition of hand washing, a custome Jesus & His disciples did not observe (Mt15; Mk7)

-Jesus & His disciples travel to Tyre & Sidon, where a woman's daughter is healed of an unclean spirit (Mt15; Mk7)

-Returning to Galilee, multitudes come to Jesus & He heals the lame, the blind, the dumb, & maimed (Mt15; Mk7). Again, so many people come to be healed that the Lord feeds 4,000 men & uncounted women & children w/seven loaves of bread & a few small fish (Mt15; Mk8)

-Jesus & His disciples sail to Magdala (Mt15; Mk8). In Magdala, the Pharisees & Saducees desire to see a sign (Mt16; Mk8)

-Peter's confession (Mt16; Mk8; Lk9)

-Mt/Transfiguration (Mt17; Mk9; Lk9)

-Tribute money (Mt17)

-Greatest in kingdom (Mt18; Mk9; Lk9)

-Jesus teaches forgiveness (Mt18)
