Righteous in Christ

Can we trust Another to be our righteousness? Our inclination is to defend our rightness with vigour, but this is of little account to God, or to our conscience either really. What matters is that we are, in fact, righteous before God, and this is the gift we have through faith in Christ. He is the only righteousness we will ever need.
