The Day of the Lord

In Jesus' parable of the sheep and the goats we have the grandest portrayal of the final
judgment in all of Holy Scripture. This judgment reveals that in the sight of God there
really are only two types of people who inhabit this world: those who love the Lord and
those who do not.
Article 37 of our Belgic Confession also closes out in grand style by focusing our
attention on the four key events that will close out human history on this earth:

1. The Second Coming of Christ.

2. The Resurrection of the Dead.

3. The Final Judgment.

4. Our Ultimate Glorification.
