Preventive Grace

All too often, God's people use the grace of God therapeutically like a medicine rather than preventively as a means of avoiding sin and temptation. Hebrews 4:16 teaches us the much about calling upon the preventive grace of God:

1. Who should call? The heirs of promise.
2. How should they call? They are to come boldly.
3. When should they call? In the time of need.
4. Why should they call? To obtain mercy.
5. Where should they call? The throne of grace.
