Garments Washed in Wine

In the most direct prophecy of the Messiah yet seen in the book of Revelation, Jacob speaks of the one who is coming whose right it is to rule. A great King is coming who will establish his kingship through the defeat of his enemies – a victory that echoes the first promise of redemption in Genesis 3:15. Jacob’s prophecy of “garments washed in wine” can only be fully understood as we see how the prophecy is utilized throughout the Old Testament and on into the New.
