Jubilee and the End of the American Dream
Series Blazing Shadows of Leviticus
Most people, thinking about the year of Jubilee, see it as a provision for the poor and destitute. But the year of Jubilee was a provision for both the rich and poor.
For the poor, it was release from slavery and restoration of their inheritance; for the rich, it was a hedge against the disaster of making earth into heaven and living for what cannot last.
The year of Jubilee point us forward to our ultimate hope - the reign of Christ.
