Today we finish up our study in 1 John, as we look at verses 18-21. We will discover three more things Christians can be absolutely certain about in this confusing and uncertain world.

C. VICTORY OVER SIN (V18)

1. No one who is born of God sins;

2. but He who was born of God keeps him,

3. and the evil one does not touch him.

D. THAT WE BELONG TO GOD (V19)

1. We are of God.

2. The whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

E. THAT CHRIST IS THE TRUE GOD (V20-21)

1. We know the true God who is Christ. (V20)

2. A warning about idolatry (V21)
