Forming Your Family's Culture - Christian Media in the Home
The average American teen spends about 72 hours on media every week. 72 hours of cell phones, Internet, IM, email, music, radio, I-pod, and more. Compare that to a meager 2 hours of church on Sunday, and it's no surprise that the modern youth culture is driven more by secular pop culture than it is by God and His Truth.
So does a family develop a Christian culture in the family through edifying Christian media? 'Patch the Pirate' is a Christian who has produced edifying media for Christian families for over 30 years. Ever since losing an eye due to cancer in 1977, 'Patch the Pirate' has composed children's songs and narratives that encourage Christian character for young children.
