1.  The Scribes and Pharisees

 3. Jesus has the power to forgive sins – v. 24

 4. There is every reason to believe this man was saved

a) What Jesus did here was show the crowd that He had come for something far greater than physical healing.

 b) What caused the offense was Christ's claim to have forgiven this man's sin. But with the attesting miracle – which couldn't be denied – they should not have denied the truth of what Christ was saying.

  c) Most did not understand the significance of what they had witnessed.
