Romans 12:1 - I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
We come the section of the Book of Romans dealing with the application to Christian living, or our Christian Ethics. The exhortation of Paul here, within these next verses summarize the response to God’s grace and serve as the introduction for all of Romans 12:1 through 15:13. They encapsulate what it means to live in a way that pleases God. Thus far we have dealt with theology and doctrine, now Paul comes to the section where we put this to practice. Thus far we have focused upon the Sovereignty of God, now Paul comes to the section where he speaks to us about our human responsibility.
