Putting on the New Man

By the renewing work of the Holy Spirit we learn to put on the new self. God does the work of transformation but we are responsible for availing ourselves of the means of grace He has provided. While our old identity was corrupt through the deluded desires of a futile mind, our new identity is created in the likeness of God in the righteousness and holiness of the truth. Our new self is God's restoration of His image in us.
