Exhortation To Pray

What is prayer? Prayer is agreeing with the will of God, talking to God, an unburdening to God, commanded by God, and accompainied with a promise by God. Prayer presupposes the reality of a Triune God, our dependence and destitution, and faith in Christ; therefore, we are to take heed to the means of grace to which God has given His church. We are to do this with faith in our precious Lord, Jesus Christ. Prayer is to be God centered showing our honor and dependence towards Him. We are to pray things agreeable to His will and for the help needed by the Holy Spirit. We are to pray this way for our church leaders and be a praying congregation.
