Influence of False Teachers

The influence that false teachers had, and will have, concerned Peter. Martin Lloyd Jones reminds us the battles that we face are not new to our day. The devil is relentless in pushing the ecumenical movement. Truth matters more than unity. Truth has to be placed in the first position, no matter how few we are. The least common denominator sacrifices unity for truth. Jesus, apostles, and prophets form the cornerstone of the Church. People make up the church who are led by the Holy Spirit, who believe that Jesus died for their sin, and rose again in victory over sin and death. They, the local church, are the pillar and support of the Truth. We are in the Truth business not the entertainment business.

There is an inseparable connection between Jesus Christ and Scripture. The understanding of Jesus must be firmly rooted in the Scriptures. The Muslims believe in Jesus, but not the Jesus of the Bible. The apostles continually warned the people about false teachers, their false doctrines, and unholy living.

The Truth must be preached in every, and all seasons.
