Christ numbered with the transgressors

For our communion service, before we approach the Table, we consider what it means that Jesus Christ was "numbered with the transgressors" (Isaiah 53:12). We affectionately meditate upon Christ's death and sufferings as we remember that Christ willingly became identified as a sinner, to suffer and bear the wrath of God for His sheep, so that we might be numbered among the righteous.
