The Authority of Scripture Being Undermined

An erosion is taking place beneath the foundation of the Church. The abandonment of commitment to the Word of God as inspired, inerrant, infallible, plenary, and authoritative is causing a sinkhole under the church. Opinions and discussions that are contrary and contradict with the Scriptures serve no purpose in God's church. This is progressively taking place in the church as toleration of any and all false teaching alongside the absorption of the values and views of society and culture has been accommodated by the church. What is popular and trendy has become more influential and authoritative than God's Word. The foundation and anchor of the church is nonetheless the Word of God which is eternally true and unchanging as is the God of the Word. To abandon that hold on the Word, dependence on, and confidence in is to drift into destruction just as Jesus warned in the letters to the churches in His final revelation.
