The church of our Savior is not a parenthesis filling a 'gap' in redemptive history due to the rejection of Christ by the larger part of the Jews of his day. The body of Christ, his church, IS True Israel under the new covenant and includes only the regenerate from among the Jews and the nations, believing the one gospel.
