Vanity Cloaked

In this passage Jesus is assuming that His disciples will engage in personal, devotional activities. But He also corrects that sinful pride and vanity that would seek the praise of men in the performance of these devotional acts. The Christian IS to seek a reward - but the reward he is to seek is the smile of God, not man.
