Hebrews 10:1-25
Why does the author spend so much time on doctrine before turning to application?
Because our fellowship and communion with God will be seriously hampered if we do not fully grasp the significance of Christ's finished work.

3 reasons and 3 applications:

Reasons:

1. Since we have confidence to enter the holy place
2. Since He has consecrated for us a new and living way, through the veil - his flesh
3. Since Christ is made high priest over the (real, true, heavenly) house of God

Therefore:

1. Let us draw near
2. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope (i.e. persevere)
3. Let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds
