The Third Commandment

We must not through our speaking profane the name of the Lord. He must be glorified through all of our actions, including our words. The third commandment brings us to the Holiness of the name of God. God is His names, which is why it is so important that we glorify His names in how we use them. Taking His name in vain is to blaspheme Him, carrying a penalty of death. We must be diligent in this commandment.
