Christ's Church: Christ's Great Commission to His Church

In this final sermon of the series on the importance and function of the Church, focusing on the local church, we look at Christ's familiar charge of "The Great Commission". We began our sermon series with Christ's pronouncement of Matthew 16: "I will build My church." Now, in Matthew 28:16-20, we finish with Christ's final charge to the church which answers the question, "What does the Church do to fulfill her part in Christ's building His church?"

After looking at the disciples' obedience, worship, and doubt in Matthew 28:16-17, this sermon exposits Christ's claim, command, and comfort given in verses 18-20. The imperative given to the church is to make disciples so that Christ might reign in all peoples and nations.
