The Adornment of the Saints 02 Women

We have been looking at what Paul wrote to Timothy. Here at the end of chapter two, he is getting into the basics of how to behave in church. This is the purpose and the reason for the letter according to 1 Timothy 3:15. It was to give Timothy written guidance that he could use. He starts by detailing some of the things that men and women struggle with and shows us how we are supposed to be living. For men, particularly in church, we are to be leading our families in prayers and worship. It is our job and it is one that we need to be reminded to do. We tend to let it drift away from us. We think of all the physical and logical things we need to do and we drift away from our foundation. Today we will start to look at the guidance that is given to women. It is different, yet just as Paul looked at men and saw an area that he needed to address, so he looks at the churches of his day and sees two areas for women. We will start looking at the first area that he addresses this week, the area of dress.
