Civil Ontology

Ontology is the philosophic study of the nature of being. The Doctrine of Creation and the distinction between Creator and Creature is basic to the Christian system, and is a means of evaluating human institutions. The erection of civil governments is a religious endeavor, and will necessarily reflect a religious view on the question of ontology. Governments either give testimony to the Creator and distinguish men as creatures, or ignore the question and hold themselves as gods.
