Many Will Come

In Capernaum, Jesus is asked by a Roman Centurion to heal his servant who is very sick and dying. His request reveals a faith that Jesus did not find in Israel.

The occasion prompts Jesus to give a rebuke to the nation of Israel. He has come as her expected Messiah, but in hardness and unbelief, His own nation has rejected Him. Now they are warned that the day is coming when Gentiles from every nation will sit down with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the Kingdom of God but they unbelieving Jews will be shut out of the kingdom and confined to the torments of hell forever.
