Selflessness is Maturity

This sermon considers Paul's staggering example of how much he was willing to deny himself for the benefit of others, which as we see, is the essence of Christianity. As we are conformed more and more into the image of Christ the more selfless we will be--selflessness is the very heart of maturity. The sermon also shows that Paul was not claiming that he knew most assuredly that he would be released from jail and thus contradicting what he had said earlier, but was explaining, from a human perspective, what his plans would be should he be released.
