Eternal Purpose and the Grace of God
Series God's Grace
Looking at Ephesians 1:9, 11 and 3:11, three truths shine forth. First, God purposed in Himself. He is eternally free of outside influences. Secondly, God "purposed all things after the counsel of His own will". He is free of outside hindrances. Next, God purposed "in Christ Jesus our Lord". He is free of all outside conditions. Exclusively in Christ did God forgive and justify.
