I Am the Way

Jesus is explaining to His disciples here that they should not be troubled that He was going away. For His going away would mean the greatest of blessings would come to them; that they would themselves eventually be going to heaven, to be with Him there forever. He said, I am going to prepare a place for you so that where I am, there You will be also. What a great Savior that we have, who brings us to Himself, that we might be with always. It is truly a tremendous thing that after we have learned enough of His greatness and glory in our walk with Him here, that we will have a dwelling place there with Him. And there will actually be the passing of time in heaven in relation to events and actions of men who live upon the earth. In that holy place of heaven we who are there will wait, and we will continue to behold Christ's glory. We shall expectantly await the Day when He shall return to judge the world and usher in the eternal state and the New Heavens and New Earth. And we shall return with Him on that day. In this message I want to open up Jesus' 3 statements in verse 6. 1st – I am the Way. 2nd – I am the Truth. And 3rd – I am the Life. It is these statements which show us how we can have greater assurance that we have come to Christ for salvation, and that we are going to the Father when we die.
