Worthless Worship

This week, we come to Mark 7:1-13. It is a tension-filled narrative. It is as if we were right
there, eyewitnesses to the story as it unfolds. It is a story of conflict between Jesus and the
Pharisees. As you read it, an ominous change is in the air, like when a dark and foreboding
weather system moves in and you head for the basement. As the preaching and healing
ministry of Jesus impacts more and more people, the opposition against Him grows.
