Sin Crouching at Your Door

We want to look at the reaction of Cain to his not having his offering regarded by the Lord. His reaction was one of anger. This was the sin that was crouching at his door. Sinful anger, within our nature, is a cunning enemy who will crouch at the very door of our hearts, and its desire is to obtain a mastery over us. So the question that we are asking ourselves this morning is this; How can we prevent sinful anger from so mastering our hearts, that we harm other people, and ruin our lives? Make no mistake about it; this is a sin like all other sins; if we do not repent of it, it will lead us down the road to eternal judgment, as it did with Cain. So I would like each of us to ask ourselves the three questions of our text so that we might come to terms with any anger that we might have, in relation to either God or man.
