A Reminder and Warning to Believers

The penalty for false teaching is death, and in the plan of God they would experience the full brunt of the wrath of God. Peter had written some horrid and harsh things, about unbelievers--severe and stern warnings. Because of Peter's agape love for believers, he wanted them not be shaken by the attacks of those who live their lives in error.

Sometimes, confused and misled Christians provide fuel for the mockers because they are not accurately handling the word. It's important to be very careful that we are being biblical. The Lord is coming again. I can't tell you when. I can tell you He is coming.

1. God's word must be the focus of our hearts and minds...
2. God's word will be mocked by the lost...
3. God's word assures us of the coming of the Lord...
4. God's word brought the heavens and earth into existence...
5. God's word brought the flood in the days of Noah...
6. God's word is guarding the world for the day of coming judgment by fire.
