The Over-Inflated Church

Paul writes to a church puffed up and full of pride, pointing out that Christians should not expect 'health and wealth,' 'the victorius Christian life,' or glory BEFORE heaven.

Using the example of the experience of himself and the other Apostles he points out that we are to live a life of self-denial, taking up the cross, and following in the footsteps of Christ who triumphed through what the world considered 'weakness'.
