Jesus, Our True Passover Lamb

So, we come now toward the end of this lengthy and amazing discourse. When it began, we learned that Passover was drawing near, and there was recorded for us two miracles that evoked the Exodus for us, the miraculous sea crossing and the miraculous feeding. And I think what we're seeing a little bit here, like all of God's recorded redemptive works, God explains those works to us. Here's a biblical maxim to hold on to. In redemptive history, God tells us he is going to do something, does it, and then tells us what he did. And I think we see a bit of this pattern here, though they will get their fullest explanation in subsequent written revelation, meaning the epistles. I think we begin to see some of this here. Jesus is telling them what took place, what was predicted in the Old Testament is happening now. I'm telling you, what's happening? God is a good communicator
