Israel Prepares for Death and Egypt Does Not

The tenth plague was God's final blow against Egypt before Israel's freedom. Though Israel escaped all the first nine plagues, in the final one Israel had to prepare for death to escape it. Their preparations didn't gain their escape. God's provision was the only escape. In preparing, Israel was acting in faith as they believed what their God told them.
