Introduction: Contrasts/opposites

Two contrasting approaches to entering the kingdom of God –
I. vv. 15-17 – Those who come in humility, on the basis of grace.
A. Jesus welcomes the children.

B. the faith of the parents –

C. Jesus uses this to teach a lesson

II. vv. 18-27 – The opposite attitude is illustrated by the rich, young ruler.
A. Two grave errors:

1. “good”

2. “do”
